Welcome to the Wag Awhile Facility
3600 SQ. FT FACILITY WITH RUBBER (NON-SKID) FLOORING
We offer cage free daycare in our 3600 square foot facility which has rubber (non-skid) flooring in our indoor play area. This will protect your pet’s paws and limbs from undue stress.
We offer separate play areas for dogs of different sizes and play levels. This means you don’t have to be concerned if you have an extra small dog or a dog that is somewhat shy around other dogs. Our expert staff will find playmates for your dog that will make his/her day at Wag Awhile an enjoyable one.
OUTDOOR PLAY AREA
We offer a large, 650 sq/ft, fenced-in, outdoor area for additional play or to just an area to grab some fresh air. The outdoor area is always supervised to ensure your pet’s safety. The stairs to the outside area have been covered with a special non-slip coating that is ribbed so that even in wet weather, your pet will not slip while going up or down the stairs. In the summertime, a canopy and puppy pools are used to cool the dogs off on those hot days.
OVERNIGHT BOARDING SUITES
Our overnight boarding suites are large and luxurious with rubber flooring and comfortable bedding for a sleep sound night. The fronts of the suites are all glass giving the dogs full view of the entire facility and more of a “home” feel than being behind a fenced door. Ample blankets are provided and a separate area for their food and water bowls so that spillage is kept to a minimum. Overall the boarding suites were designed so that you can have the peace of mind that when you are on vacation your pet is comfortable and secure. To improve the safety of your dog’s stay with us, we have installed webcams above every suite which are monitored by staff when the facility is closed. All dogs are visited every evening before they settle in for a good night sleep. During the day, all boarding dogs have access to our cage free daycare area for no additional fee.
SENIOR CENTRE
Kaylyn, the owner of Wag Awhile designed this special room called “Cari’s Comfort Care” (named after her Standard Poodle, Cari) to cater to senior dogs and dogs with medical conditions who need extra care during their stay at Wag Awhile Doggie Daycare.
The room is spacious and designed with the following amenities to comfort any pet:
- Orthopedic beds to comfort senior dogs with arthritis, allowing them to sleep comfortably.
- Large window to Kaylyn’s office so that she can watch them closely during the day.
- Webcam installed to allow staff to monitor them at night.
- An Adaptil Diffuser that releases pheromones to comfort your pet 24 hours a day.
- Heating and cooling to the room to provide a comfortable atmosphere for aging or disabled pets.
- Kaylyn is a registered veterinary technician with over 20 years of experience. She is able to administer any special medications or anything else that your pet may require.
