Overview: Nosework is one of the hottest new sport around, and it’s easy to see why! It’s fun for humans, dogs love to participate, and it’s good for building confidence and focus in dogs. Nosework provides an excellent opportunity for dogs and handlers to build partnership and trust. Nosework is great for puppies to build confidence and retired dogs who still want to work; it provides fun and challenge for dogs and handlers alike.
Topics Covered: • Review rules overview of UKC Nosework Program • Introduction to odor • emphasizing the importance of reward • Hands on practice for dogs in working spots ( limited number of working spots)
Instructor: This seminar will be taught by Sean Kent, of Canine Athletic Care, who has been actively competing in Nosework and has earned many High In Trials in this sport with all 4 of his dogs. Sean is committed to spreading the word about Nosework and introducing this fun and challenging sport to fellow Dog Sport enthusiasts. We offer Nosework Classes at this location and will be starting classes in March.
Cost: Working Spot $60.00 – Observer spot $30.00
